In December 2017, Utrecht University's Conflict Studies and Human Rights together with Ubuntu House have organised a special day for Human Rights, with many presentations and discussions.
One of the presenters was our former student Berhane. Berhane earned his Academic Diploma in Global Studies at Foundation as well as his Diploma in Integrated Human Rights. The title of Berhane's presentation was Refugee Crisis challenges the Western Values.
Berhane is a refugee from East Africa. Because he did not have enough resources, and due to his refugee situation, he could not study at a regular university. Thus, Foundation Academy of Amsterdam offered him a four years program in Global Studies, a tuition free program for migrants and refugees.
We are glad to see your former students are active in the society, and using their knowledge in various fields of social justice and human rights. For more about Academic Diploma programs click here.
