We are thrilled to announce that Rev. Timothy Thang has been appointed as the new dean of the School of Theology at the Foundation Academy of Amsterdam. He succeeds Laura Dijkhuizen, who served the School of Theology with passion and great skill in leadership, for which we are most grateful.Timothy Thang holds three master's degrees in theology, including a master's degree from Tyndale Theological Seminary in the Netherlands, and a postgraduate certificate in theology of migration from the Center for Theology of Migration at Vrije Universiteit, Faculty of Religion and Theology. Currently, he is pursuing a Ph.D. in the field of politics and theology.
Timothy was born and raised in Myanmar and lived several years in India as a lecturer in theology. His experience with both Christianity in the East and in Western contexts makes him rich in inter-contextual theology. He has had an extraordinary life experience as a migrant in the Netherlands, which has enriched him not only academically but also in the school of life. We are extremely happy to have him as our new dean.
