Today, 8 of March is the International Women’s Day, a day set aside to honor the social, economic, cultural, and political contributions made by women throughout the world. In addition the Day highlights problems such as gender inequality and addresses injustices committed against women. Unfortunately, while my words are being read, a terrible war is raging in Ukraine, and the memories of what occurred in Afghanistan, as well as the COVID-19 epidemic, make us stand even more in unity with women than ever before. Thus, Foundation Academy of Amsterdam stands in solidarity with women all over the world, offering an education that envisions and hopes to realize a world that is gender equal, free of bias, stereotypes, and discrimination, a world that is diverse, equitable, and inclusive, and a world where difference is valued and celebrated.
