You are hereby invited to our online information evening about our brand new practical ministry program on november 22 at 19.30hrs (Amsterdam time)
The practical ministry program aims to equip church leaders as well as those interested in discovering the way the Bible speaks in contemporary issues. With a focus on a basic understanding of the Bible, practical tools for church leadership, and insight into care for creation (including people), it is highly transformative and relevant.It is focused on a basic understanding of the Bible, Church leadership, and Christian life. Given the contemporary situation's challenges and rapid developments, we look holistically at the Bible, church, and society. The modules in this program are shaped towards interactive and dynamic learning. you can join either in Amsterdam or worldwide using zoom.
The program consists of the following modules/courses:
Leadership in Local Church
The Story of the Old Testament: historical and contextual information of the time of the Old Testament and a short overview of the books and genres.
The Story of the New Testament: historical and contextual information of the time of the New Testament and a short overview of the books and genres.
The Story of Christianity: a broad overview of the origin and development of Christianity from the time of the New Testament on
Care for the World: Integral mission including ecological issues, slavery history, gender issues, etc.
Care for the Church: Basic pastoral principles related to interhuman relationships, mental health, and spiritual affairs.
The program start on january 10th 2024 with classes on Wednesday evenings (18.30 – 20.30 Amsterdam time) (you can join class in Amsterdam or study fully online).
