Foundation Academy of Amsterdam launches Diploma in Practical Ministry for 2026–2027
The School of Theology at Foundation Academy of Amsterdam is pleased to announce the launch of its Diploma in Practical Ministry, a one-year program designed to equip church leaders and those interested in Christian ministry with biblical knowledge, practical leadership tools, and a deeper understanding of church and society.
The program moves beyond the simple transfer of knowledge. It offers a holistic learning experience through interactive classes, transformative reflection, the exchange of narratives, and a strong educational community. Students will explore the Bible, Christian leadership, pastoral care, mission, and care for both people and creation.
The Diploma in Practical Ministry consists of six modules: The Story of the Old Testament, The Story of the New Testament, The Story of Christianity, Care for the World, Care for the Church, and Leadership in the Local Church. Together, these modules provide a strong foundation for practical ministry, church leadership, and a missional lifestyle.
The program runs from 9 September 2026 to 7 July 2027, with 40 Wednesday evening classes from 18:30 to 20:30 Amsterdam time. The program is offered hybrid or fully online, making it accessible to students in the Netherlands and abroad.
The diploma is accredited by the International Council of Higher Education. Students who wish to continue into the academic theology program may use the diploma as a stepping stone, provided they complete additional assignments to earn European Credits.
The study load is approximately 8–10 hours per week. The tuition fee for the 2026–2027 academic year is €215 per student. A 25% discount is available when more students register from the same church or organisation. Spread payments and limited scholarship possibilities may also be available.
Registration is open until 1 September 2026. Prospective students can contact the program coordinator at online.coordinator@foundation.eu.com.
With this new program, Foundation Academy of Amsterdam continues its commitment to accessible, transformative, and community-based theological education for today’s church and society.
