On Thursday, 30 April 2026, students from the Foundation Academy School of Human Rights visited The Black Archives in Amsterdam for an educational and inspiring program. The visit offered students an important opportunity to engage with histories, stories, and perspectives connected to the African diaspora, social justice, resistance, and human dignity.

The students listened attentively to the presentations and guidance provided by the museum staff and guides. The atmosphere throughout the visit was open, reflective, and interactive. Many meaningful conversations emerged among the students during and after the program. Since most of our students come from African backgrounds and communities, the visit carried an additional personal and emotional significance. Several students expressed that they felt recognized, inspired, and encouraged by the stories and historical materials presented at the museum. The experience helped connect academic reflection on human rights with lived histories and contemporary realities.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the dean and coordinator of Foundation Academy for making this visit possible. We also extend our heartfelt thanks to the management of The Black Archives and especially to the inspiring guide who welcomed our students with knowledge, passion, and hospitality.

The visit was not only educational, but also empowering and motivating for our students. It was truly a valuable experience.
