The year 2022 is about to leave us with memories of war, protests, and global upheaval. At Foundation Academy of Amsterdam, we have always believed, and remain convinced that a beautiful world is still conceivable if all those who share this belief work for the benefit of all humanity.
One of our goals for the coming year is to launch a new program: Grassroots Journalism! With tools like mobile phones and platforms like blogs, podcasts, and YouTube, everyone can become a prospective journalist. The challenge is to make news that has a significant impact on social movements and human rights work at the grassroots level. This is what we hope to offer in 2023. In January we are starting with the new batch of students Theology in the Bijlmer and Beyond, a 6-month course in Leadership in local church. This program is the result of collaboration between Jethro Foundation and Foundation Academy of Amsterdam.

Foundation Academy of Amsterdam continues to provide low-cost, affordable education to the marginalized and those who lack access to conventional higher/academic education. We strive to inspire our students with education and motivation so that they can not only alter their own lives but also contribute to the community here and back home.
This vision of the Foundation Academy of Amsterdam would not have been possible without your selfless engagement and support. It was not possible to make academic education accessible to all because we believe that higher education is a matter of human rights and that everyone, refugees, undocumented migrants, and minorities, should have access to higher education. Education should be as inclusive as possible. Thank you so much to all of the volunteer faculty and staff. This would not be possible without your selfless support and hard work.
